If this is inappropriate, please feel free to delete it. I don't want to spam or get in trouble. I merely wanted to make people aware of my LJ communities in one post. That said, here we go. All of these communities need new members. You might want to introduce yourself and maybe share one of your related interestes if you join one or more of them so that we can get a discussion going.
fringe Science
http://community.livejournal.com/fringescience/profile
This is a community for the serious discussion of fringe sciences, also called pseudosciences. These include not only well-known ones like parapsychology (and all areas within it such as aliens/ufos, ghosts/spirits, psychic ability etc), but also other fields such as alchemy, astrology, crop circles, cryptozoology, divination (including tarot cards), grafology, numerology, palmistry and any others that I've left out. Discussion of nonmainstream theories unconnected with a specific science are also fine. Feel free to bring in sites and references to supporting ideas. However, this is not a religious community. While religion will certainly come up when discussing various topics (alchemy and divination for example), and while you may bring it up if explaining a personal experience, please keep that in mind. Also, this is not the place to discuss spells, magic, Harry Potter, rpgs etc. This is also not the place for bashing the study of nonmainstream sciences. If you have an opinion, whether positive or negative, you may share it, so long as it's done respectfully. All ages welcomed. However, I do ask that if your post is especially graphic or might scare younger members that you please put it behind a cut with a warning.

dolphin List
http://community.livejournal.com/dolphinlist/profile
This community is for blind or visually-impaired people who use products made by Dolphin, such as Hal (a screenreader), Pocket Hal (for pdas), Cicero (ocr scanning software), Lunar (screen magnification software), or Supernova (a combination of magnifier and screenreader). Feel free to ask questions and to give advice. Talk about what works with these products, what software is still inaccessible and what advances you'd like to see. Anyone of any age is welcomed. Students, teachers, parents, friends of blind/visually-impaired people and the curious are also welcomed. This is a community by users for users, and is not sponsored or endorsed by Dolphin.

PolyGreeks
http://community.livejournal.com/polygreeks/profile
Geia sas/hello! This is a community for Hellenic Polytheists, those who follow the religion of ancient Greece. You may also join if you're not one. Just note that, although we never proselitise or refuse anyone on the grounds of their faith, there is a slight religious bend to the community. That said, as much as we love the past, we also love modern Greece. Come and talk about anything. If it's Greek, bring it in. This includes personal experience, questions about everything from the gods, to greek music and food, to general chat about Greek news, sports, politics, language, culture etc. Bouzouki and baglama players warmly welcomed! Due to possible future content, no minors are allowed.

food Friendly
http://community.livejournal.com/foodfriendly/profile
Tired of all the waight-loss commercials? Do the diets, the pills, the exercise programmes and all the reduced fat foods get on your nerves? Do you just want to eat what you like and enjoy it? Then join Food Friendly. Here you can rant and rave, share recipes and websites, tell stories and enjoy the company of others who are not in the diet trend. People on medical and religious diets are welcomed, since there's a difference between dieting for these reasons and dieting for cosmetic appeal. However, please place a warning if you give recipes that are reduced in fat or use meat/dairy substitutes etc so that the rest of us can use regular ingredients. Whether it's about a simple home cooked meal, a gourmet delicacy, some local take out or your favourite brand of tea/coffee, if you're in the mood to talk food, join us! Due to language and possible future content, no minors are allowed.

Thanks and hope to see you somewhere soon!
